Kaherah: Kementerian Penerbangan Awam Mesir mengesahkan bahagian tubuh manusia dipercayai penumpang atau anak kapal pesawat EgyptAir yang terhempas di Laut Mediterranean, ditemui hari ini bersama serpihan pesawat serta barangan milik penumpang.
“Tentera laut Mesir memungut lebih banyak serpihan pesawat hari ini, termasuk bahagian tubuh manusia, barangan penumpang serta tempat duduk. Usaha mencari masih dijalankan,” kata kenyataan kementerian itu.
Difahamkan anggota tubuh yang ditemui itu ialah tangan manusia.
Banyak pihak yakin pesawat itu terhempas akibat serangan pengganas, termasuk kemungkinan letupan bom menyebabkan pesawat berkecai di udara.
Serpihan pesawat, barangan penumpang dan bahagian tubuh manusia itu ditemui kira-kira 290 kilometer di utara bandar raya Iskandariah.
Pesawat Airbus A320 itu membawa 56 penumpang dan anak kapal iaitu 15 rakyat Perancis, 30 Mesir, dua Iraq serta masing-masing seorang dari Algeria, Belgium, Chad, Portugal, Arab Saudi, Sudan serta seorang budak lelaki dan dua bayi. Ia membawa 10 anak kapal dan tiga anggota keselamatan.
Ia hilang dari radar antara Pulau Karpathos dan pantai Mesir, ketika dalam penerbangan dari Paris ke Kaherah awal pagi semalam.

But the loss of parents Ahmed el-Ashry and his wife Reham Mosad is particularly poignant as the mother-of-three was returning to Cairo from Paris after successfully beating cancer.
The children – all aged under six – were waiting at Cairo International Airport for the arrival of their parents who they were missing terribly.

The heart-broken youngsters, one boy and two girls, were left inconsolable when the mother and father failed to arrive – along with the other 66 passengers and crew of doomed flight MS804.
Family friend Muhammad El Shennawi said: 'The situation is very unfortunate and grievous. It is heart-breaking to see the kids.
'They were at Cairo Airport to welcome them home.
